Lambert Point, in Norfolk VA, is the ultimate destination for most of the coal dragged out of the Paston Valley.  There, large rotary dumpers process the loaded hoppers incessantly, filling up the holds of tremendous seagoing ships.

A model of Lambert Point would be phenomenal, but it is not a task I am likely to set for myself.  Pier 6 alone would be as big as Winchester Yard.  The yard, with a capacity measured in the thousands, would fill a room on its own.  Then, maybe it would be possible to model only a few approach tracks and the prep shed for the pier, with the pier itself done as a photo mural on the backdrop…
