Trainz Re-skins
I
have spent a fair amount of time reskinning models for use in Trainz,
to be able to run WP&P and N&W specific equipment. Here
are before and after shots of the work I have done so far:

DESCRIPTION

AFTER
Beginning with a trip to the Download Station, I was able to
find an "undecorated" SD45 with the high nose that N&W favored.
Applying blue with yellow lettering was fairly straightforward.

I did not find any undecorated SD40, but I did find one in
Southern "tuxedo" scheme. This was difficult, in that I had to
first get rid of the stripes without losing details like the hood door
outlines.

Alco's famous PA-1 was the next task; again, removing the NYC
lettering without losing rivets and other details was the major
challenge.

To go with the PA-1, I did a set of passenger cars, using silver ATSF cars as the basis.

Finally, a virtual version of RS-1 number 42 was in order.
This engine is pictured on wpandp.com, in the Timetable section.
The starting point was in SOO livery, which proved to be
difficult to paint over.

SCREENSHOTS

Life is busy in the yard, as the two big six-axle deisels in
N&W blue wait their turn. Meanwhile, RS-1 number 42 is busy
switching.

The blue passenger train is ready to leave the station, and we follow along as it gets going.

Coming around the bend, we see a small rural farm and dirt road, with a large trestle approaching.

The stream rushes in the gorge below as we begin to cross a very tall trestle.

A few more shots as we cross the bridge

And then, the train completes the loop and we are back at the yard. There is some unfinished scenery in the background.
