The Southern’s mainline to Washington, DC, sweeps through Culpeper, and provides an important interchange with the WP&P. Apples grown in Winchester are processed into applesauce and pie filling in Culpeper. Learn more about this historical city.		Culpeper is afforded a staging track, because of the twice-weekly run to Winchester by CGT (Culpeper General Transit). CGT was formed by industry and county consortium, when NW announced abandonment of the old WP&P south of Boyce. CGT trains are operated by SRR.
