What I have been working on of late has been installations of slide switches and electrical block gaps, to complete the tracklaying in the vicinity of the Winchester Yard Throat. Along with this, I have had to re-design my control panel to reflect the revised track configuration, and I to map out where electrical blocks will go.

Recently I decided that it was about time to take the plunge, and go ahead and re-lay some of the track in the area around the depot and yard lead in Winchester.

One of the boys, lacking all manner of tact, asked why things looked so junky around here, but good Mr. Pemrunning just laughed and shrugged. “Boys,” he said, “You’ve reach the very end of the world out here! Fully functional diesel engine servicing facilities are now a part of Winchester Yard! Back in October 2011 I began the development of this little wedge of plywood, which previously had been serving as a temporary shelf for tools and whatnot while working elsewhere on the layout.
