Here is another home layout that I planned for a friend, based on the need to store N-trak modules and the desire to incorporate them into an operating pike. In this case, a relatively high track height was proposed in order to leave room for a functional work desk below the layout, even when modules were in place.

I took some time to take my module out in the back yard, in the good light, and take a few photos. Here are some of my best shots so far.
My N-Trak module was designed initially as an exercise to see just how much could be made to happen within the standard 24″ by 48″ dimensions of a regular module, and adhering to all the N-Trak standards for curvature, tangents, etc. I came up with a design that actually worked pretty well to tell one more piece of the WP&P story, which is its interchange with the Norfolk & Western’s Shenandoah Valley main line.
